Double-Sided Thangka: The Meritorious Wisdom of Akasagarbha Bodhisattva and the Abundant Merit of the Yellow God of Wealth—Perfect Protection through the Dual Cultivation of Merit and Wisdom
This double-sided design tank pendant merges the vast merit wisdom of Kokuuzou Bosatsu and the inexhaustible fortune of the Yellow God of Wealth, embodying the profound meaning of "cultivating both fortune and wisdom" in Buddhism, along with a complete prayer.
Front: Akasagarbha Bodhisattva – His merits and wisdom are like the void.
The Bodhisattva Kṣitigarbha is one of the Eight Great Bodhisattvas in Tibetan Buddhism, and by naming him "Kṣitigarbha," it symbolizes that his wisdom, merit, and blessings are as vast and boundless as the void, capable of fulfilling the needs of all sentient beings. The "Kṣitigarbha Sutra" states that Kṣitigarbha possesses an inexhaustible treasure store and bestows wealth, wisdom, health, and happiness upon sentient beings.
The surface strictly follows the measurement standards of the Tanka, with the majestic form of the Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva intricately carved. The Bodhisattva's body presents a treasure blue or golden color, wearing a crown of the Five Buddhas, holding a sword of wisdom in the right hand, and a jewel or lotus in the left hand, seated on a lotus pedestal. The jewel in the left hand symbolizes the fulfillment of sentient beings' wishes and the bestowal of inexhaustible treasures and blessings of wisdom, while the sword of wisdom in the right hand symbolizes the cutting off of ignorance and the opening of inner wisdom.
By wearing it, may you receive the protection of the Bodhisattva of the Void, gain vast wisdom, open the flow of wealth, encounter noble people, keep petty individuals at bay, prosper in your business, and have everything go smoothly.
Reverse side: Yellow God of Wealth - Full of good fortune and abundance of resources
Inside, the majestic treasure image of the Yellow Wealth God is intricately depicted. The Yellow Wealth God is the foremost of the Five Wealth Gods in Tibetan Buddhism, embodying the protective deity that allows all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to benefit sentient beings, enabling practitioners to focus on their cultivation without worrying about resources. His body is golden, with a plump belly, holding a wish-fulfilling fruit (Braga) in his right hand and a treasure-spitting mouse (Nezumi) in his left hand, symbolizing the fulfillment of sentient beings' wishes and the granting of blessings and wealth.
By wearing it with heartfelt intention, may it bring smooth business operations, improved financial fortune, the alleviation of poverty, and may everything go well, leading to a peaceful life free from worries of scarcity.
Design Philosophy: Harmony and Fulfillment, a Harmonious Life
The double-sided design on the front and back embodies the teaching of "cultivating both blessings and wisdom (福慧双修) and the perfection of the two types of resources (二資糧)," which is at the core of Buddhist practice.
-
The surface of the Bodhisattva AkasagarbhaIt symbolizes "wisdom" and "virtue," representing that wisdom is vast like the void and that virtue is limitless, helping practitioners to open their wisdom, meet noble people, and achieve financial success.
-
Yellow God of Wealth on the reverse sideis a symbol of "fortune and virtue," serving as the foundation for success in worldly and otherworldly endeavors, a source of fortune and virtue where resources are abundant and life is peaceful.
Wishing for the opening of wisdom and the increase of virtues on one hand, and praying for the fulfillment of blessings and the abundance of wealth on the other, is just like the two wings of a bird or the two wheels of a cart; neither can be lacking. This dual-sided pendant fuses wisdom and blessings into one, fulfilling both the pursuit of inner enlightenment and the tranquility of outer life.
The core allegory: One face, two sides; harmony inside and out.
Wearing this pendant means praying for the following:
-
With the vast wisdom and merit of Akasagarbha BodhisattvaMay you unlock your inner wisdom, meet noble people, open up your financial luck, and lead your business to prosperity.
-
With the blessings of the Yellow God of WealthMay you cultivate and nurture your spiritual spirit, and may your life become peaceful and prosperous, allowing you to walk forward with peace of mind, free from the worries of lack.
One outside, one inside; one wisdom, one blessing. While praying for the protection of the Buddhas outside, it also awakens the wisdom and compassion that you inherently possess within. This dual-sided tank pendant brings the richness of the wisdom and virtues of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas as your closest guardian by your side—
The surface is like the wisdom of the void to people, with boundless virtues, while the reverse brings abundant blessings and tranquility to oneself. It leads to a fulfilling life rich in both fortune and wisdom.
